The Works
The project involved excavating the designated area to create 20 parking bays, encompassing the installation of 60 meters of kerbstones along the perimeter. Following this, an open-graded base course was laid and compacted, followed by the application of asphalt to provide a smooth surface. The final touch involved marking out the parking bays to ensure organisation and functionality.
Factors
With the works being completed outside in April, the weather was a large factor for dictating the project programme. However despite adverse weather conditions, construction continued uninterrupted on the new car park at Altham Ambulance Station.
