As the office world began to change through COVID-19, Greenmount Projects took on the challenge to transform The Very Group’s HQ in Liverpool to set them up for Hybrid working, ready for when the staff members returned to the office in 2020. The existing site is a Grade 2* listed former aircraft hangar and this was a key feature within the design.
The project encompassed the refurbishment of three floors. The design integrated various departmental zones, featuring over 850 desk stations, break-out areas, multiple kitchenettes, meeting spaces, and flexible work environments. Significantly, the design honoured the historical significance of the site, blending its heritage seamlessly with modern functionality.
Greenmount Projects placed a strong emphasis on integrating high-quality, ergonomic furniture solutions. This included tiered seating and pull-out stool walls, designed to enhance collaboration and comfort among staff members.
Factors
With the project unfolding amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, meticulous attention to safety protocols and regulations was paramount. The team upheld rigorous safety standards, prioritising the well-being of all involved parties throughout the duration of the project. Despite the hurdles posed by the pandemic, the project was executed with precision and completed on schedule and within budget. This ensured a smooth transition for staff returning to the office, minimising disruption to operations.
