Mike Sharkey - CEO

Mike began his career as an apprentice and has 35 years worth of experience in the industry. He has progressed through site management, contract management and head of operations, including Directorship of SME and regional companies. Mike has worked within all aspects of construction including design and build, refurbishments, fit-outs, maintenance, frameworks, and two-stage tendered projects.

Throughout his successful career, Mike has learnt that you should 'Work smarter not harder". He has gained several professional qualifications including ONC in construction, HNC in construction, HND in construction and CIOB Accreditation. Mike highlights that during his career he was the head of operations who successfully completed the Coronation Street extension, working alongside the programme directors to construct the new iconic set.

Within his home life, Mike enjoys running, watching rugby league and reading. He loves spending quality time with his wife Mary and daughter Rhian, who is currently studying at John Rigby excelling in graphic design.

Andy Coley - Operations Director

Andy has 20 years of experience in the construction industry, and began his career as a quantity surveyor. Following this he then combined roles as an estimator and project manager before moving up to contracts management. Andy has gained experience in Main Contractor, Subcontractor and SME size businesses.

Whilst he has worked on various types of construction such as; design and build, refurbishments, fit outs and two-stage tendered projects. Andy strongly believes that team work makes the dream work. His professional qualifications include BSC in Quantity Surveying, SMSTS and ILM Level 3

Outside of work Andy enjoys Triathlon, cycling and spending time outdoors with the family. He lives with his wife, two children and two dogs.

Damian Charnock - Head of Small Works

Damian has worked in the construction industry from leaving school, allowing him 24 years experience. He has developed in several roles including working foreman, site manager and finally contracts manager.

Damian's strengths lie in small works, refurbishment and maintenance and he has a strong eye for detail. Damian believes that to succeed in projects there is never a problem, only a solution found. During his professional career he has achieved HNC in construction and SMSTS. One of his career highlights to date is the refurbishment of the bespoke Coops building.

In his free time, Damian has several hobbies and especially enjoys playing and watching rugby league. He relishes in quality family time with his wife Zoe and two beautiful children; Conor and Megan.

Darran Wilde – Contracts Manager

Darran has worked in the construction industry for 37 years starting as an apprentice in joinery. After starting his managerial career in his mid-twenties as a site foreman, then working his way up to senior contracts manager gaining a wide knowledge of all aspects of the construction industry. Darran has an HNC in building studies and IOSH managing safely. Having recently completed a 1.6 million Design and build project in Birmingham and a 1.5 million new build school in Sheffield. He believes that teamwork is the best way to achieve success.

Outside of work Darran loves to watch rugby and go on long walks. He also enjoys spending time with his wife Lynn, his 4 daughters and 2 dogs.

Brian Donelly – Contracts Manager

Brian has almost 40 years’ experience in construction, starting as a setting out engineer and working his way up to senior contracts manager/key account manager. He has a wealth of experience in the industry from retail, commercial and public buildings both new construction, refurbishment and fit out works, which have all been covered via different procurement routes e.g., traditional, D&B, frameworks and partnering. Brian is immensely proud of his full CIOB membership.

Happily married for over 30 years and has a son and daughter and a grandson all of whom keep him busy, he actively supports the deaf charity Deafway, and enjoys hill walking, watching most sports and live theatre.

Mark Kinsey - Electrical Commercial Manager

Mark has 36 years in the electrical industry and has worked across various aspects of Electrical Engineering. Mark is a hard-working individual and has been developed extensively in his profession, and works by the motto 'Get it done'. During his professional career, Mark has accomplished many projects and become a member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology.

Outside of work Mark loves to watch rugby and go on long walks. He also enjoys travelling with his wife and two children.

George Magee - Electrical Commercial Manager

George has worked in the Electrical industry from leaving school. He has gained 28 years experience both on the tools and as an Electrical Contracts Manger covering all aspects of electrical work including working in, domestic, commercial, industrial, maintenance. Whilst working on many projects George has gained certification in SMSTS, Test and Inspection 2391 which has elevated his knowledge in the Electrical field. George believes it’s a team effort to hand over every project as smoothly as possible be it large or small and believes that communication is key to achieve this.

Outside of work George enjoys spending time with his partner, 4 children and their dog. In his spare time, he also enjoys martial arts both Wing Chun Kung Fu and Thai Boxing in which he is a certified instructor.

Dan Ryding - Commercial Director

Dan has 10 years work expierence within the construction industry and has been an integral part of a commercial department since starting out as a Junior Quantity Surveyor. Dan has worked his way through the ranks within the commercial team and has excelled within his studies achieveing a Level 3 Diploma, HNC and a 2/1 BSc Hons Degree in Quantity Surveying.

He has expierence in a multitude of sectors such as Retail, Leisure, Education, Healthcare, Heritage, Banking and Local Government. He has worked on JCT, NEC and framework contracts on both traditional and design & build procurement routes. His experience has taught him that the difference between try and triumph is just a little umph.

Outside of work, Dan enjoys playing rugby league, mountain biking and socialising with friends. As well as hobbies he enjoys spending time with his and his girlfriend Emma's family

Chris Hennerley – Senior Quantity Surveyor

Chris has 20 years' experience as a quantity surveyor working for both large corporations and small/medium businesses, working in all aspects of construction varying from heavy civils to new build high rise. During this time, Chris has gained qualifications in BSc (Hons) Quantity Surveying and Commercial Management.

Over the past 10 years Chris' work portfolio has mainly consisted of fit out projects, covering all aspects from banks, retail stores, education, hospitals and prestigious high end office space, including projects for overseas clients.

Chris' moto is 'Be the best version of yourself that you can be'

Outside of work Chris enjoys watching films/box sets, supporting Man Utd, spending time with friends and family, his wife Jeanette and 3 children, Sophia, Olivia and Thomas.

Ged Tromp - Quantity Surveyor

Ged started his career by taking his HND in Building and Quantity Surveying, where he then went on to complete a Polytechnic Associateship in Construction Management and Economics as a full time student. Since that time Ged has gained many years experience in Quantity Surveying. He has also recently gained a certification in SMSTS which he has used to gain further knowledge in the understanding of site operations.

Ged has worked on various projects ranging up to the value of £5,000,000 including Wigan Bus Station, Halton Chemical Museum and Residential Estates with over 185 Units. Outside of work Ged enjoys watching and supporting Liverpool football team, watching his sons play cricket and is heavily involved with 'Friends of Chernobyl Children' charity .

Jayne Boothe - Procurement Manager

Jayne has over 25years experience in the buying field, 5 of which are in construction.

She lives by her motto which is 'Fail to prepare - prepare to fail.'

Outisde of work Jayne enjoys watching many types of sports, especially Rugby League and athletics. She also enjoys running and going for long walks with her family and friends.

Jayne and her husband Colbert are very proud of their two children, both of which are currently studying at university.

Alfie Smith – Trainee Quantity Surveyor

From just finishing his GCSEs, Alfie is now in his first year of his apprenticeship at Greenmount projects and is currently studying Construction in the Built Environment at Wigan & Leigh College. Living by his motto 'when you have a dream, you've got to grab it and never let go,' Alfie hopes to complete his apprenticeship and further his career in to become a qualified Quantity Surveyor. In the apprenticeship Alfie has the advantage of working in a live environment at the office and on working sites with clients alongside the Commercial Team.

Alfie's appreciates spending time with his friends and watching various sports.

Elisa Dickinson - Finance Manager

Elisa has 14 years construction industry with 12 years in accounts. Elisa is a perfectionist who cares deeply about her role and the company. Throughout her career, Elisa has developed both professionally and personally and she prides herself on her ability to ensure the smooth and consistent running of the accounts.

During her spare time, Elisa enjoys exercise such as going to the gym, boxing and being part of her local netball league. In addition to this, she is a social butterfly and always makes time for friends and family. Elisa's world is her beautiful daughter Avea-Lee who is about to start school and is a developing gymnast.

Olivia McEvoy - Finance Assistant

Olivia is a highly driven and ambitious member of our Accounts team, who has spent a number of years working in accounts within the Construction Industry. She is Level 4 AAT qualified and is in the process of completing her ACCA qualification to become chartered in 2024. Olivia's motto is 'There are no secrets to success. It is a result of preparation, hard work and learning from failure.'

She likes to explore new adventures and aims to visit many new places with her boyfriend Luke. Olivia also enjoys socialising with friends and family, in which she has a very close relationship with.

Olivia Orritt - Apprentice Finance Assistant

In the previous academic year Olivia has passed all her GCES’s including achieving a grade B in Maths. With her passion for numbers as a driver, Olivia has started her Level 2 AAT apprenticeship with Greenmount Projects and Wigan and Leigh College, learning the financial workings of a business and applying them to her studies.

Olivia implements her motto ‘you get what you work for, not what you wish for,’ in daily life, which has assisted her in successfully passing the first AAT exam. She now hopes to complete her apprenticeship and continue to progress in her career by becoming a chartered accountant. Whilst not in work or studying, Olivia enjoys working out in the gym and socialising with friends her friends.

Molly Durkin - Head of Design

Molly is a passionate designer with a friendly and engaging personality that earns her the trust and respect of clients. After gaining experience in Singapore, London and Manchester, Molly is now closer to home and very happy in her current position at Greenmount Projects.

During her past experience, Molly has developed strong communication skills with both clients and colleagues. Being adaptable, flexible and enthusiastic, Molly always does the upmost to exceed expectations placed upon her.

Molly enjoys socialising with friends, trying adventurous food and exploring exciting places with her partner Henry and they can’t wait to get their very own Cocker Spaniel.

Megan McWhire - Interior Designer

Megan is a meticulous and passionate designer with 4 years of experience in the industry. After graduating from Northumbria University in 2018 with a BA Hons in Interior Design, she started her career working for a Commercial Interior Design Practice in London for 2 years, specialising in Hospitality design.

Since then, Megan has moved back to the North, and set up as a Freelance Interior Designer, gaining experience in new fields such as retail, workplace, and domestic projects. Then later became a Creative Lead for a building design company, designing for Leisure projects from Adventure Golf to Indoor Play.

Megan enjoys exploring new places, socialising with family and friends, long walks and pub lunches. She is excited for her new venture with Greenmount projects as well as getting settled in Burnley where she has just bought a house with her partner.

Leanne Westcott - Office Manager

Leanne was previously an Office Manager at a furniture company in Manchester City Centre and prior to this, she was the Office and Building manager at a large law firm in Bolton for 7 years. With over 14 year’s experience in management in different sectors, she decided to make the move to join Greenmount.
Leanne works closely with the Design team to provide furniture solutions for the projects.

During her career Leanne has developed both personally and professionally. She has been on an extensive HR course as well as completing Level 2 & 3 NVQ Business Admin.

Leanne enjoys spending time with her son Connor, husband Ben, family, and friends.
