A full-scale refurbishment was delivered at the Bath House Changing Rooms situated on Ruskin Sports Village, transforming the ageing facility into a modern, functional space while preserving its essential structure. The project required careful planning and execution, delivered through a structured construction programme with defined phases and clear milestones.

Once the site was set up, roofing works began to install a new bauder roof system, upgrading and securing the roof ready for upcoming weather wear. Internal works began with electrical isolation and installation of temporary power, followed by extensive strip-out activities including ceilings, floor coverings, and redundant mechanical and electrical services. Key structural tasks were carried out, such as removing and replacing roof lights, forming new openings in blockwork walls, and conducting detailed surveys of existing joists to inform design and construction adaptations.

New internal layouts were introduced through partitioning, MEP first fix, and the integration of services within wall spaces. Precision in scheduling allowed MEP works, plastering, and cladding to progress concurrently, reducing downtime between trades. Finishing works included kitchen unit installation, flooring, doors, suspended ceilings, and multiple coats of decoration, all contributing to a high-standard internal finish.

Externally, the project encompassed significant roofing works, new drainage systems, brickwork repairs, and repointing. Careful coordination allowed scaffold removal and site clearance to proceed efficiently toward the end of the programme.

Final stages focused on commissioning mechanical and electrical systems, carrying out a detailed snagging process, and providing full end-user training. A comprehensive handover package was issued, including all statutory certifications, building control approval, O&M manuals, and health and safety files.
